A pre-match warm up.

Club Policy
The policy of the club as outlined in its very first
A.G.M. back in 1989 is that the team
should be run as a pub team for the
'crack' and the enjoyment of its members and players. If success on the
football pitch came to us, it would be a bonus, but would not be the sole
aim of the club. This policy is voted upon at each of our
A.G.M's.

A Brief History
The 'Evs' has been going in its present form since
1989.
We started as a group of lads playing friendlies in and around the Corby
area as and when we could arrange them. Some of the original members are
still part of our squad, these are Dennis Madden, Gordon Bissett and Gary
Walsh. If any past players have found themselves at this site, please drop
us an email at the address below, or drop a note in to us at the pub and
we will give you a mention.
In our second year, we recruited the services of the irreplaceable Stevie
Bell as secretary and proceeded to improve our act. Unfortunately, we
missed out on election to the league and joined a small group of like
minded teams in a local friendly league.
The following year we were more successful and got into the Kettering Area
Sunday Football League and were drafted into division two (out of four).
This only lasted a year and under the astounding management of yours
truly, we managed to slip into division three no bother.
Two exciting years of rough and tumble ensued before we were shown the
delights of division four and we have been there ever since.
This year however, we are playing out of our skins! We are in the final of
the Northants Sunday Shield, the second round of the Sharman Cup, in the
last eight of The Caledonian Cup and are top of our league having won
eleven out of eleven (as at 05/04/01).
